Loren Estleman

, four-time winner of the prestigious Shamus Award as well as the Anthony and Edgar awards, is known for his "Amos Walker" private investigator series of novels that started with MOTOR CITY BLUES; his many westerns, and, more recently, his series about Valentino (not related to the silent movie star), a film archivist for UCLA (although he's truly a film detective) who tracks down long lost films and explores the crimes that seem to come right along with them.
